Mícheál Collins, Irish Chamber member and former Executive Director of the Irish Business Association has recently been elected as the fourth President of the European Chamber of Commerce. His goal is to establish the European identity at Singapore and regional level as a business force that is complementary to the national business identities and aids them and the European commission to engage better with regional policymakers.

As many of you will already be aware, Ryan Burnett has won the first ever Gold Medal for Ireland in the Youth Olympic Games! He defeated Salman Alizida of Azerbaijan 13-6 on 25th August at Suntec. He was well supported by a sizeable mob of very loud Irish fans.
