The Irish Chamber of Commerce (Singapore) is a network of business professionals whose aim is to strengthen business connections in Singapore, and between Ireland and Singapore.

The Chamber has an extensive reach and while there is a select committee focus on four core areas, people representing all sectors in Singapore are members of the Irish Chamber. These sectors include financial services and banking, medical, food, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, information communication technology and construction services. The Chamber is also supported by a range of sponsors in the region.

Conor McCoole

President: 2015 – 2018
Conor McCoole is Chairman of Asia Biogas Group, a regional biogas engineering and production company with ten operating biogas projects in Thailand and Indonesia. Conor is an infrastructure financing specialist and investor in renewable energy. He has spent his career, mostly in Asia, advising project sponsors and arranging project and export finance transactions. He was previously global co-head of project and export finance at Standard Chartered Bank, based in Singapore.

Allan Schouten

President: 2014 – 2015
Allan is a Main Board Director of PM Group and is their Managing Director for the Asia – Pacific region and has been based in Singapore since 2007. Originally from the UK, Allan’s home base is now split between Singapore and Dublin, Ireland.

Allan has been active on the Irish Chamber of Commerce Life Sciences & Food Committee since 2009, joined the Chamber Board in 2011 and became President in 2014.

Allan holds a B. Eng (1st Class Honours) in Chemical Engineering from 1987 and is a Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineer

Felimy Greene
President: 2012 – 2014 Felimy Greene is Asia Pacific Head of Regional Digital Banking for Citibank, based out of Singapore. Prior to this Felimy was Principal with the creative design firm Eight Inc., where he led the financial services technology practice. He has worked in the banking and technology sectors for 25 years and his previous experience includes senior leadership roles with ANZ Bank (Singapore), Merrill Lynch (Singapore, New York), Citigroup (New York, London) and Corechange Inc., a venture-backed technology start-up (Boston). A Graduate of University College Dublin, Felimy maintains close links with Ireland and is an early stage investor in a number of Irish technology start-ups.
Colm McCarthy
President: 2011 – 2012 Colm is currently Head of Global Banking – Asia Pacific, with Wells Fargo. Prior to this Colm was a senior executive of Bank of America having joined the bank in Dublin in 1979. During his career with Bank of America he has held various positions in Dublin, London and Asia, being President of Asia for 6 years before his retirement. He was a director of the bank’s legal entities in Singapore , Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan. Colm is also a director of OCBC, Bank of Singapore and Wheelock Properties. During his 20 years in Singapore he has sat on a number of Government appointed boards and committees including the Telecom Authority of Singapore, the Legal Services Review Committee, the Economic Review Committee, the Manpower 2000 Committee, the MAS Financial Services Advisory Committee.
Colin MacDonald
President: 1999 – 2011 Colin MacDonald served at the helm of the Irish Chamber of Commerce in Singapore from 1999 when it was a Business Association and through its early years as a Chamber, until 2011. The Chamber was launched in 2009 and officially inaugurated at the 2010 AGM by Eamonn Ryan, TD. Colin has over 25 years of banking and real estate experience in Asia. In 2006 he founded Fine Grain Property, and has since led its successful value-add investment strategy in Singapore. As a former International Manager with HSBC, Colin worked in Singapore, Taiwan, Bahrain, and Hong Kong between 1989 and 1996. His deep understanding of the Singapore market is drawn from over 15 years of successfully investing, developing and project managing properties and businesses. During 3 years working with Singapore’s largest private real estate developer, Far East Organization, Colin managed the redevelopment and restoration of the historic 5-star Fullerton Hotel. Over 12 years as founder and Managing Director of McCraic Group, Colin identified, leased, and refurbished historic properties as popular bar and restaurant venues, until the successful trade sale of the group in 2009. Colin has served as President of Boat Quay Business Association, Singapore, and was President of Singapore’s Irish Chamber of Commerce for 10 years. He is currently President of the Singapore Ireland Fund, a registered Singapore Institution of Public Character (IPC), which is part of a global philanthropic group.
Seamus Doherty
President 1997 – 1999 Seamus Doherty is currently the CEO of Coleman Capital Limited. From 1994-2000 Seamus was the regional general manager for AIB Group in Asia Pacific based in Singapore. He had overall responsibility for AIB’s banking activities in the region and set up joint ventures and strategic alliances with Keppel TatLee  Bank, Phillip Capital ( Singapore ) an MayBank Life International. Seamus is a Chartered Accountant having previously trained and worked with Arthur Andersen & Co and PWc. He also has an MSc from Trinity College Dublin and is a member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.
Ciaran Kelly
President: 1992 – 1997 Ciaran was the President of the Irish Business Network (now the Irish Chamber of Commerce) from its founding in 1992 – 1997. Ciaran is the owner of the Landmark Hotel and Club 360 in Ireland and previously the Managing Director of the Marco Polo Hotel in Singapore. He has successfully managed five star hotels throughout Europe, Asia and the US.
